PACT PROJECT

The PACT Project focuses on repurposing packaging and mailing materials to reduce landfill waste. This effort began by saving padded envelopes, small boxes, and other mailing bits and bobs (you know: bubble wrap, packaging peanuts, etc). I’ve been recycling these supplies personally for years. This is what my family always did growing up. It is easy to put a new label on an already-used envelope, and it saves the hassle and expense of having to buy something new.

I soon realized others had similar desires, and saw many folks requesting these items in my local community groups.

the idea to create a system to take or leave mailing/packaging supplies—free of charge—within the local community, with the goal of working together to create a zero waste lifestyle.
